Telling Mark’s Story
Through Design & Product
Prior to launching Mark’s new e-store and products, he wanted to convey a fresh look and feel for his brand through the design of a new logo.
Our team collaborated with Mark to design a more “modern”, sleek and elevated logo that we would integrate into the new e-store and the product labels.
Mark’s product offering has comprised a mix of novelty, custom and stock products. In some cases, the more disconnected and whimsical the product, the better (à la… a pet rock). This sense of unpredictability is part of Markiplier’s brand DNA, and what his fans have come to love and expect.
In fact, in 2018, we published the Markiplier “Tasteful Nude” calendar to commemorate Mark’s 20 millionth YouTube subscriber. The sale of this calendar generated over $600,000 for charity in just 48 hours.
WEB DESIGN & OPERATION
We deployed Mark’s e-store in 2017. Mark wanted to ensure that the website felt straight-forward, authentic and anti commercial. We developed imagery and merchandised the e-store to mirror Mark’s low-key and unpredictable personality – from whimsical, hand-illustrated milieus to graphically-enhanced surrealistic dioramas.
Simplicity, authenticity and whimsy are the focus.
